Hello! My name is Dave Schull.
I am a technology enthusiast in Anchorage, Alaska with a passion for cybersecurity, critical infrastructure security and counter-terrorism.
I am a technology enthusiast in Anchorage, Alaska with a passion for cybersecurity, critical infrastructure security and counter-terrorism.
I bring a distinct offering of training and certificates from the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, ICS-CERT, US-CERT, the Idaho National Laboratory, and the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service on these subjects. I’m quite interested in developing solutions to the unprecedented challenges brought on by the inevitable amalgamation of digital IT networks and physical control systems that is becoming more unavoidable on a daily basis.
Currently I am working as a member of the IT Incident Response Team for GCI, an Alaska-based company providing voice, video and data communication services to residential, commercial and government customers. Alaska has one of the most diverse and unforgiving climates on the planet, and with such a vast expanse and challenging terrain, telecom services are even more critical and highly valued here than in other areas. I’ve gained an appreciation of that while empowering GCI’s business in both the remote and urban areas of this state. My current tasks include incident management, IT project management, technical documentation creation, documentation audits, internal process development, custom application development, and analysis of department metrics.

Participants were awarded college credits for their participation.

David was always willing to offer his assistance beyond his required duties and had an excellent rapport with the employees in our firm and other professional organizations. Without a doubt, he would be an asset to any employer.
David has proven to be the consummate team player with the capabilities of doing anything he puts his mind to. His ability to analyze situations, work independently, think quickly and handle almost any issue has proven to be superior.
Dedicated and meticulous, David has the ability to manage tasks efficiently, multi-task and handle a large ever changing workload. With his abilities, adaptability and dedication, David will make a great employee with any company he joins.
David has done a phenomenal job on the project. I would recommend David continue to be a participant on the project either as the Project Manager or lead. The project would most definitely suffer if he is no longer involved and his project knowledge is no longer available to the project team.
David followed our process and because he did I was able to do my part in managing stakeholder expectations. It may not seem like much but from my vantage point it helps tremendously. – Thank you for taking the time and doing things right.
Just wanted to give David some kudos for keeping us all in the loop as our other methods of communication were toast. It’s difficult to participate in conference bridge conversation and
update the folks that stop by, while trying to resolve outages but David did a great job, in and out with the information needed.
David is beyond anything I feel qualified to evaluate or criticize. He teaches and works like his hair is on fire. It is like he is playing in overtime in the Stanley Cup, only at his desk. He was by far the best presenter that we had. He gave us a great hands on activity that was very enjoyable. I loved the presentation, all the resources you provided our team, and the call simulation was my favorite part.
Davis was amazing! I wish I had his creativity and ability to create presentations for my students. Wow! The booklet and app that David made was off-the-charts awesome!
Dave did a superb job explaining his job and how tickets are processed. He was very passionate and the activities and handout were stellar. Dave’s presentation was one of my favorite exercises. Maybe model some of the other presentations after his. I will be using some of his information at my school.
